The tip time is shown on the Orlando Magic website as being a very friendly U.K. time of 8:30pm here in the UK (3:30pm Eastern for our friends in Orlando).

Magic Top Performers – Cole Anthony had a bounce back performance equalling his season high with 33 points, to go with 8 assists. Franz Wagner had 19 points, with 6 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal. Mo Bamba put up another 4 blocks to his season tally and 14 points. Wendell Carter Jr turned in another double-double performance with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He further added a block and 6 assists to tie his career high. The veteran players were big for Orlando, with Gary Harris scoring 16 points, Robin Lopez a strong presence in the paint for 11 points and Terence Ross hit 17 points, including a highlight reel dunk.
Wednesday 8th December – Boston Celtics 111 – 114 L.A. Clippers
Clippers Top Performers – Led by Brandon Boston Jr from the bench with 27 points. Marcus Morris put up 20 points, Reggie Jackson 17 and Luke Kennard added 15 points. Both Terance Mann and Ivica Zubac had 10 point and 10 rebound double-doubles.

The LA Clippers are being led by Paul George, who averages 25 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game. The Clippers have a 14- 12 winning record and sit 5th in the Western Conference. Of the last 10 games played the Clippers have won 5, including their last two played. On the injury front the Clippers remain without Kawhi Leonard. In their last game both Serge Ibaka and Paul George were out also. Ibaka is no longer shown on ESPN and is likely to start if available. However Paul George remains out, with Nicolas Batum shown as a doubt.

The Orlando Magic Injury Report
ESPN is again showing no changes to the Magic injury list but there is good news.
Markelle Fultz is still out but has traveled with the team and joined on court in practice in LA. There is still no timetable on his return following his devastating ACL injury in left knee.
Jalen Suggs is out with a fractured right thumb. The team statement says he will be out for “an extended period of time” but that surgery is not required. He is to be reevaluated after two weeks time to assess healing.
E’Twaun Moore remains out with a sprained left knee.
Michael Carter-Williams is out after surgery to remove a bone fragment and repair his left ankle ligament.
Jonathan Isaac continues to be out as he rehabilitates from a left knee ACL injury that saw him miss all of last season. He is said to be making great and steady progress, but is not yet cleared for contact.

Let’s start with the tip time. The early tip for Orlando at the Clippers is as a bonus. So get the beers, popcorn and nachos ready, sit back and enjoy the experience!
As to the game the Clippers are a strong three point shooting team. The Magic will need to improve their perimeter defence.
The Clippers are not a good rebounding team. Mo Bamba and Wendell Carter Jr have the potential to be a major influence on the game.
Orlando will need to take care of the ball, all season live ball turnovers have hurt. The Clippers rank 10th for steals so will punish those mistakes.
This game could be a fun one to watch and don’t discount the Magic from taking another W in LA. Cole Anthony is becoming a force that other teams are having to take notice of. As is the play of Franz Wagner. Gary Harris and Terence Ross are finding a nice shooting rhythm.
