Orlando couldn’t get it done last night.
MIAMI HEAT 102 – 89 ORLANDO MAGIC
Dear god game day 49, that was frustrating to watch!
As we faced the Miami Heat for the third time in the season they had forged an 8 point lead by the half. The Heat, whilst not playing well hit 45.5% on the 3 ball.
The result may have been different if with 1:15 left in the 4th Terence Ross had hit his 3 point shot to cut the deficit to 4 points. Instead he missed & we saw Tyler Herro hit a 3 for the Heat with 1 minute remaining to give them a 10 point lead. On our next play Evan Fournier missed a 3 point shot & our chance gone.
Misfiring Magic Offence
Our offensive play was at times an embarrassment to watch. We were led by Aaron Gordon with 24 points. T Ross & Fournier were throwing bricks all night going 2 from 11 & 3 from 13 respectively. Khem Birch played 16:30 minutes & tallied a grand total of 4 rebounds & 1 assist! The bench (except for Michael Carter-Williams) were anonymous.
On To The Next
I can’t find much positive to say as we drop to our 5th consecutive loss, having won only 3 in our last 10 outings. We need to move on from this & react against Charlotte.
We now sit at 21 & 28 on the season, in the 8th seed position in the East. Orlando are behind Brooklyn who have still played a game less. At least they also lost last night 107-113 to the Wizards.
