MAGIC WIN!
A few stats & thoughts on our performance.
We led after the 1st Quarter.
We took over the game late in the 2nd & led 65-55 at the half.
Going into the 4th we led 102-83
We let the momentum go during the late 4th allowing them to mount a comeback but we ran out with the W.
Our biggest lead was 23 points.
We had good ball movement producing 31 assists.
Nikola Vucevic & Aaron Gordon both produced double-doubles as 6 players scored double figures.
Health Scare For The Coach
Ty Corbin took over coaching duties as Coach Clifford took in during the 3rd. The Coach was taken to hospital but has been cleared to return to the team being diagnosed with dehydration.
The Important Stats
We hit all our important indicators for getting the win last night:
The Magic are 15-10 when they lead after the 1Q, 11-22 when they trail.
We are now 23 & 2 when we lead or are level entering the 4th quarter.
We are 19 & 2 when we score at least 110 points, hit 115+ points & we have won all 15 games, 120 or more & its 10 games.
Our road record is 12 wins & 18 losses. This was a good road win, albeit against a sub 500 team.
The Playoffs
We are sitting as the 8th seed. The Nets won beating the Spurs 120-139. Washington won beating the Hawks 112-118. The Bulls lost to the Pacers now being 7 wins behind the Magic.
A Final Concern
My concern remains that a team built on a defensive identity last night again conceded points. As I wrote our defensive efficiency rating & opponents points per game have been worsening dramatically since the All Star break. The last occasions we held an opponent to 100 points or less both came against Charlotte on February 4th (100 points) & January 20th (83 points).

We go again Sunday night in Houston to take on the Rockets.
