We couldn’t get it done last night as we went down by 16 in Boston.
The final score doesn’t show that we competed through most of the game, being down 1 at the half, having a brief lead in the 3rd & being within 3 points during the 4th. With 5 minutes to go the Magic were 5 points down but hit a late scoring drought. It was a tight game for 3 & a half quarters.
Our scoring was led by Evan Fournier with 26 pts. Aaron Gordon recorded a double-double with 23 pts & 10 rebounds to go with 4 assists, 2 steals & a block. Nikola Vucevic also recorded another double-double. Terence Ross contributed 18 points & Michael Carter-Williams 12 points & 6 assists.
We were undone by the scoring of Tatum, Hayward & Brown going for 33, 23 & 18 respectively.
From our perspective 17 turnovers was too high & led to 17 points. We also left 7 points behind on the free throw line again.
We go again tonight in New York.
