Tracy McGrady is without doubt an Orlando Magic great & today he was honoured by the team he grew up watching.
Achievements
Playing for the Magic from 2000 to 2004 he was a firm fan favourite.
During his career T-Mac didn’t win a ring but has an impressive list of highlights & awards.

3 x All-NBA Second Team (2001, 2004, 2007)

Magic Stats
T-Mac scored 8298 points in his 295 games for Orlando. This puts him 3rd in the Magic All Time Points Scored list (Vooch is closing in on that record though). That scoring record came on making 2985 field goals of the 6689 attempted. The only players to score more points in a Magic uniform are Dwight Howard & Nick Anderson. Both played more than double the games in an Orlando team than T-Mac did.
The averages per game are impressive at 28.1 points (the number 1 position for this statistic), 5.2 assists, 7 rebounds & 1.5 steals. He also features in any Top 10 list for the Magic All Time on 2 point shooting, 3 point shooting, assists, all categories of rebounding, steals & blocks! McGrady was a complete player for Orlando.
His 62 points against Washington in 2004 remains the single game record for the Magic. He has 3 of the top 4 highest scores in a game for the Magic.
Orlando Magic UK Represented
I cannot tell you how much of a thrill it was for my wife Jo & I to be invited to the ceremony to represent international fans. We were seated with T-Macs family & ultimately got to meet the great man himself before going to a reception.

Introduced To The Amway
Later in the day McGrady & family were the guests of honour in the Amway. The game was against the team that drafted him in 1997 as the 9th pick, the Toronto Raptors. At the end of the 1st quarter CEO Alex Martins introduced T-Mac to the Amway crowd to huge cheers & applause.
T-Mac is a more than worthy addition to the Orlando Magic Hall of Fame.
Congratulations!
